Shake It Records Vinyl Recreation Competition Winner 2025.This project reimagines Californication through an original photographic interpretation of the album’s themes of desire, illusion, excess, and the allure of California culture. Reflecting the album’s commentary on the seductive yet often artificial nature of the California ideal.
Californication was recognized through a juried competition and selected for public exhibition at Shake It Records in Cincinnati, OH. The work was reviewed by a panel that included New York Times Photographer and Journalist Madeleine Hordinski and New York Magazine Photography Editor Jacob Moscovitch.
